Job summary

SATLANTIS is seeking a Flight Software Engineer at our HQ in Leioa (Bizkaia, Spain) to design, develop, integrate, and maintain embedded software for satellites and space missions. You will work across the flight software lifecycle from implementation to testing, ensuring reliability and performance of onboard systems.

You will program in C/C++, C++, and Python, work in Linux environments, and collaborate with hardware and payload engineers to deliver mission-critical software updates and

Qualifications

• Experience developing software for embedded systems, onboard computers, or resource-constrained environments.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python is a plus.
• Familiarity with Linux-based development environments and tooling.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunications, Electronics, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded flight software for satellite systems and space missions.
• Implement software components for onboard computers and embedded platforms.
• Collaborate across hardware, systems and payload engineers throughout development lifecycle.
• Integrate, debug, and validate software in embedded environments.
• Contribute to software updates and improvements for satellite systems.
• Perform software testing, document results, and resolve issues to ensure reliability.
• Work with Linux-based environments and development tools as required.
