Hitachi Energy Spain, S.A.U. in Madrid is seeking an Electrical Lead Engineer to own the electrical engineering scope for projects. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality electrical designs and ensure compliance with national regulations.

The role requires a Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering and about 5 years in power systems, with expertise in electrical CAD tools and relay configurations. English proficiency is essential; other languages are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Around 5 years of experience in Power Systems, Power Quality, Power Grid solutions or substations.
• Knowledge of Electrical CAD systems (Zuken E3, Engineering Base is a plus).
• Knowledge of relay configuration is beneficial.
• Proficient in English; additional languages are valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering deliverables across projects (planning, coordination, technical coordination).
• Produce electrical design outputs: plant schematics, control cubicles, relay cubicles, station power designs, and cable routing (<1 kV).
• Ensure safe, cost-efficient designs aligned with base solutions and regulations.
• Collaborate with Electrical, System, Primary, Studies and Civil Engineering teams.
