Kureos is seeking an experienced Backend Engineer in Madrid to build scalable data platforms and cloud infrastructure powering energy trading decisions. You will develop robust APIs, data pipelines, and high-availability services as part of a cross-functional engineering team.

You’ll work with Python, C#, or Java on Azure cloud, Kubernetes, and CI/CD, shaping data models, governance, and platform automation to deliver reliable performance in a fast-moving energy market.

Formación

• 7+ years of back-end development experience.
• Proficient in Python, C#, or Java.
• Experience with Azure, Kubernetes, CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Relational database expertise (PostgreSQL).
• Experience with Apache Airflow, Prefect or similar workflow tools.
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.
• Fluent English (Spanish advantageous).

The Team

You'll join a collaborative team of seven engineers where your ideas matter. Working closely with data, infrastructure and business teams, you'll help shape a modern data platform used across the organisation.

• Azure cloud experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD and DevOps practices
• PostgreSQL or other relational database expertise
• Experience with Apache Airflow, Prefect or similar workflow tools
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills
• Fluent English (Spanish advantageous)
• Energy or trading sector experience is beneficial but not essential
