Job summary

Talan Group is seeking a skilled Java backend engineer to join our on-call capable team in Spain. You will develop Java 8+ microservices with Spring Boot, Kafka, and NoSQL/SQL databases, in an Agile environment.

Remote within Spain Time zone, full-time contract, with training, benefits including private medical and language lessons, and opportunities to work on international projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in a software development role.
• Hands-on with Apache Kafka and Java 8+.
• Experience building microservices with Spring Boot and databases (PostgreSQL/Oracle/MongoDB).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java-based microservices using Spring Boot.
• Design event-driven solutions with Apache Kafka.
• Build scalable backend services and ensure code quality with TDD/BDD.
• Collaborate in Agile (Scrum) environments and participate in design reviews.
