As an EAM Business Analyst / Tester, you will play a key role in bridging business requirements and technical delivery within an Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) program. You will analyze maintenance and asset management processes, translating operational needs into clear, actionable requirements for system implementation and integration. Combining business analysis expertise with hands‑on testing, you will ensure that solutions meet business expectations and support reliable, efficient operations. You will collaborate closely with business users, technical teams, and testing specialists to validate functionality, identify defects, and drive timely resolutions. Your work will contribute to improving work order management, inventory control, purchasing, and asset lifecycle processes within a regulated or industrial environment. This remote contract opportunity offers the chance to contribute to a major project for a pharmaceutical organization while applying your analytical, technical, and problem‑solving skills.

Accountabilities
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to work order management, inventory, purchasing, maintenance, and asset lifecycle management.

  • Translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements for the EAM platform and its associated integrations.

  • Analyze existing maintenance and asset management workflows to identify gaps, clarify business expectations, and support effective system implementation.

  • Develop structured test cases and test scenarios based on approved requirements, business processes, and expected system behavior.

  • Execute functional, integration, and user acceptance testing to verify that the EAM solution meets business and technical specifications.

  • Collaborate with the Test Lead to document and report defects, clarify expected functionality, prioritize issues, and validate fixes through appropriate retesting.

  • Work closely with business stakeholders, end users, developers, and technical teams to resolve requirement ambiguities and functionality‑related questions.

  • Validate system integrations and data flows to ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment with operational requirements.

  • Prepare and maintain procedural documentation, testing records, and training materials to support system adoption and ongoing business operations.

  • Support business users throughout testing and implementation activities, ensuring requirements are understood and solutions are fit for purpose.

Requirements:
  • At least three years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, Business Analyst/Tester, or in a comparable role combining requirements analysis and software testing.

  • A solid understanding of maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) processes, ideally within manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, or another regulated industry.

  • Hands‑on experience working with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) or Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) platforms.

  • Proven ability to elicit, analyze, structure, and document business requirements in a clear and actionable format.

  • Practical experience designing, writing, and executing test cases based on business requirements and process flows.

  • Familiarity with functional testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing, defect tracking, and test result documentation.

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to investigate complex functional issues.

  • Ability to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating operational needs into understandable technical requirements.

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the confidence to clarify expectations, manage questions, and work with stakeholders at different levels.

  • A structured, proactive, and quality‑focused approach to managing requirements, testing activities, and issue resolution.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote project environment while collaborating effectively with distributed teams.

  • Availability for a freelance or contract engagement requiring approximately 40 hours per week, with an anticipated start date between October and November 2026.

Benefits:
  • Remote working: Fully remote position with a Europe‑based project scope.

  • Flexible contract arrangement: Freelance or contract engagement suited to experienced independent professionals.

  • Full‑time allocation: Approximately 40 hours per week, offering consistent project involvement.

  • Upcoming project opportunity: Anticipated start between October and November 2026.
