Job summary

Jungheinrich Digital Solutions Spain is seeking a skilled PHP and Node developer to drive the evolution of our global e-commerce landscape. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable applications, work with APIs and backend services, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape the future of digital commerce.

Role requires 3–5+ years of experience, proficiency in PHP 8.2+, Node, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Symfony, plusTwig and PostgreSQL.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of PHP and Node development experience.
• Proficient in PHP 8.2+, Node, JavaScript, TypeScript and SCSS.
• Experience with Symfony and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS or Azure).
• Knowledge of Twig template engine and SOLID principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable e-commerce apps using PHP and Node.
• Contribute to APIs, integrations, and backend services.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, UX, and engineering teams.
• Participate in architecture discussions and future e-commerce direction.
• Ensure code quality via reviews, tests, and CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable e-commerce applications using PHP and modern web technologies like Node.js.
• Contribute to the continuous evolution of the digital commerce ecosystem, including integrations, APIs, and backend services.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, UX designers, business stakeholders, and engineering teams.
• Participate in architecture discussions and help shape the future of the e-commerce landscape.
• Ensure high standards of code quality through code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD environment and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• Working Experience: 3-5+ years of experience as PHP & Node developer
• PHP 8.2+, Node, JavaScript, Typescript and SCSS
• Experience with Symfony, SQL (Postgres).
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS / preferably Azure).
• Clean code, SOLID principles and knowledge of architectural patterns.
• Experience with template engines (we use TWIG).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Highly motivated to drive innovation and improvements in digital commerce.
• Proactive, solution-oriented, and self-driven mindset.

Nice to have:

• B2B E-commerce environment knowledge, preferably Spryker
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, React, Vue.js, …
• Knowledge about Atomic Design, Web components and Webpack.
• Experience with Codeception.
• Experience with Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ and Redis.
• Scrum or Kanban knowledge.
• CI/CD and Github knowledge.
• Create and integrate external Apis, SOAP web service XML and REST.
• Experience with observability plaforms and monitoring solutions like Splunk
