Job summary

HCLTech invites an experienced Domain Integration Architect to shape and modernize the integration landscape for its clients. You will assess, design, and implement robust connectivity across platforms, applications, and business domains, driving DDD and composable, event-driven architectures.

You will collaborate with platform teams using MuleSoft, SAP CPI, Kong API Gateway, and Solace Event Mesh to establish standards, build governance, and measure progress with dashboards and KPIs.

Job description

As an Domain Integration Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and modernizing the integration landscape for HCLTech’s clients. You will be responsible for assessing, designing, and implementing robust integration solutions that enable seamless connectivity across platforms, applications, and business domains. Your expertise will be instrumental in establishing integration architecture best practices, driving domain-driven design (DDD), and facilitating the migration to composable, event-driven architectures that support the company’s innovation and growth objectives.

Role & Responsibilities

• Assess and document existing integration assets, including APIs, batch interfaces, custom SAP integrations, RFCs, and legacy dependencies.
• Define and advocate for domain-driven design (DDD) and composable integration architecture practices.
• Collaborate closely with platform teams utilizing Kong, Solace, SAP CPI, and MuleSoft to establish and enforce integration standards and best practices.
• Create and manage visibility dashboards and transformation metrics to track the progress of integration modernization initiatives.
• Define, monitor, and report on KPIs such as coupling reduction, API adoption rates, event-driven integration usage, and the retirement of legacy interfaces.
• Facilitate architecture workshops, design reviews, and coaching sessions to upskill and align development teams.
• Guide product teams in adopting migration patterns and implementing modern integration solutions.
• Develop comprehensive architecture playbooks, standards, and governance frameworks to ensure consistency and scalability.
• Support knowledge transfer and capability building to foster long-term sustainability of the integration practice.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in Enterprise Integration Architecture within large-scale, complex environments.
• Deep expertise in API-led architecture and composable integration patterns.
• Proven hands-on experience with MuleSoft, SAP CPI, Kong API Gateway, and Solace Event Mesh.
• Solid understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles.
• Experience in event-driven architecture and microservices-based ecosystems.
• Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, and consulting skills.
• Experience in defining and implementing integration governance models, standards, and KPIs.
• Strong ability to lead architecture discussions across multiple product and business domains.
