T-Systems Iberia in Madrid is seeking a System Engineer to join the DNS Squad, owning end-to-end DNS platforms for mobile, fixed, and IoT networks.

You will implement and operate a Kubernetes-based IoT resolving platform, analyze and troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with the German operations team to enhance software, tools, and system performance.

Flexible working hours and an on-call rotation (~8 weeks per year) provide exposure to real-world operational duties.

Formación

• Fundamental knowledge of DNS including PowerDNS and DoH/DoT/DoQ.
• Extensive Kubernetes experience to orchestrate CNFs.
• Strong IP networking knowledge; routers and LAN/WAN.
• Experience troubleshooting networks with Wireshark.
• Experience with monitoring/analytics tools such as Prometheus and Medusa.

Responsabilidades

• Implement and operate DNS platforms across physical, virtualized, and containerized environments, including a new IoT platform in Kubernetes.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and document system malfunctions.
• Perform regular checks and refine automated processes including failover, deployment, and DR.
• Develop and optimize scripts using Ansible, Bash, Perl, and Python.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and the German operations group to improve tools and performance.
