Keolis Commuter Services is seeking a skilled Dispatcher to coordinate bus and operator assignments in a fast-paced environment in Massachusetts. You will allocate vehicles, monitor trips, and respond to disruptions to maintain on-time performance.

Formación

• 2+ years of radio and/or window dispatch experience.
• Valid Massachusetts driver’s license; ability to obtain CDL.
• Ability to handle stress, including emergency situations.
• CPR, AED and First Aid certification (provided by the company).
• Experience with time and attendance systems is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Assign work, vehicles and equipment to operators and maintain logs.
• Reallocate operators to handle absences and surges to minimize disruptions.
• Monitor vehicle operations and ensure on-time performance.
• Maintain Time & Attendance data and verify operator fitness.
• Provide assistance during emergencies and vehicle malfunctions.
• Reschedule trips due to issues and assist passengers.
• Maintain safety in the work area and adhere to safety protocols.
• Communicate with operators about cancellations and directions.
• Other duties as assigned.

• At least 2 years’ radio and/or window dispatch experience in a fast-paced environment
• Must have valid Massachusetts driver license, and the ability to obtain a CDL
• Ability to handle stress, including emergency situations
• Transportation Dispatching Software knowledge desired
• Intermediate knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office Suite
• CPR, AED and First Aid Certification (Provided by the Company)

Key Accountabilities:

• Assign work, vehicles and onboard equipment to operators and maintain check-out logs.
• Assign operators in the event of operator absences, increased service volumes in order to minimize service disruptions as a result of traffic, vehicle malfunctions, operator problems and/or emergency situations.
  Documents service disruptions in the dispatcher daily log.
• Monitors vehicle operations by mode in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate information in Time & Attendance System.
• Verify credentials and fitness for duty upon operator’s check-in.
• Ensure Operator uniform compliance.
• Maintain communication with operators, providing information on customers, cancellations, and directional assistance where necessary (On Demand).
• Monitor operators and trip status, adjusts and reassignments as necessary to ensure on time performance (On Demand).
• Provide assistance to operators in the event of emergency or vehicle malfunctions, communicating with operations and safety staff where appropriate
• Reschedule trips as necessary in the event of vehicle malfunction, traffic, or emergency situations(On Demand).
• Provide assistance to passengers in using the service as well as when inquiring about individual trip status (On Demand)
• Collect any lost and found articles and catalog, attempt to contact appropriate passengers where possible.
• Maintain a safe work area and a focus on safety to reduce the opportunity for injury to self or other employees.
• Establish and monitor on-time performance adherence and tracking (Fixed Route).
• Will assist Operators with informational material as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• May walk on uneven surfaces, while assisting passengers
