H2O Innovation in Spain seeks a senior finance leader to oversee Spain operations and the Chilean entity, ensuring accurate reporting, strong controls, and regulatory compliance.

You will partner with local management and corporate support, drive budgeting, forecasting and strategic initiatives, and lead a cross-border finance team with a focus on digitalization.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, controlling, and/or audit, including month-end close.
• Strong knowledge of Spanish GAAP, Spanish tax/regulatory requirements; experience in Chile or Europe is an asset.
• Good knowledge of IFRS and applying corporate accounting policies in a multinational environment.
• Experience managing treasury operations, AP, AR, payroll accounting, tax compliance, audits, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Experience coordinating cross-border finance activities with corporate support services and external auditors.
• Experience with ERP implementation or finance transformation; IFS is an asset.
• Strong process-improvement, digitalization, and automation capabilities.
• Strong leadership and team-management skills; balance execution with supervision.
• Registered Economist/ROAC/CPA or equivalent preferred.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; knowledge of French is an asset.

Responsabilidades

• Lead all finance, accounting, payroll, tax, treasury, regulatory compliance and other related activities for the Spain operations and oversee those activities for our Chilean Entity.
• Ensure local statutory compliance, tax filings, regulatory reporting.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, financial institutions, government authorities and advisors while ensuring compliance with corporate policies and approval authorities.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of financial reporting, budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and management information as per corporate requirements.
• Ensure strong financial controls, effective risk management, and adherence to corporate accounting policies and international reporting standards.
• Act as a trusted business partner to local management, operation teams and the Corporate Support Services, providing financial insight and supporting strategic decision making.
• Drive standardization, simplification, improvement and automation of finance and business processes across all locations.
• Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing Finance team while fostering collaboration across locations and functions.
• Ensure business continuity through effective succession planning, cross-training, and clear accountability across the organization.
• Communicate significant financial, operational, compliance, or business risks in a timely manner and recommend appropriate mitigation actions.
• Support the execution of corporate initiatives while ensuring local regulatory and operational requirements are appropriately addressed.
• Participate in strategic projects, including business integrations, system implementations, organizational development, and operational excellence initiatives.

The Day-to-Day

The Skills We Are Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, controlling, and/or audit, including responsibility for month-end close and statutory compliance.
• Strong knowledge of Spanish GAAP, Spanish tax and regulatory requirements, statutory reporting, and local accounting obligations; experience in Chile or other European countries is an asset.
• Good knowledge of IFRS and experience applying corporate accounting policies in a multinational environment.
• Experience managing treasury operations, AP, AR, payroll accounting, tax compliance, audits, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Experience managing cross-border finance activities and coordinating with corporate support services, advisors, external auditors, and local operating teams.
• Experience with ERP implementation or finance transformation projects; experience with IFS is an asset.
• Strong process-improvement, digitalization, and automation capabilities.
• Strong leadership and team-management skills, with the ability to combine operational execution with supervision and business support.
• Registered Economist, Registered Auditor (ROAC), CPA, or an equivalent professional accounting designation preferred.
• Fluent in English and Spanish;
• Knowledge of French is an asset.
