AstraZeneca in Barcelona invites a Senior AI Platform Engineer to lead the engineering that scales high-value AI breakthroughs for research and discovery. You will own secure, reproducible platforms and partner with researchers, scientists and platform teams to deliver production-ready AI systems on cloud and on‑premise.

You will mentor engineers, promote best practices, and drive CI/CD, GitOps, and MLOps automation to accelerate delivery, reliability, and governance across the enterprise data

Formación

• Master's degree or PhD in a relevant field.
• Proven track record implementing software engineering best practices.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and scientific libraries.
• Experience optimizing distributed ML training.
• Experience deploying AI/ML systems to production.
• Experience with GitHub for source control, CI/CD, and MLOps.
• Experience deploying cloud-native apps on AWS/GCP/Azure.
• Excellent problem-solving and technical communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical leadership for AI platform and product engineering focusing on design, reproducibility, and maintainability.
• Engineer research prototypes into secure, scalable, reusable platform capabilities.
• Develop and optimize ML training and inference workflows across cloud and on-premises.
• Own and promote software engineering standards, testing, and reusable delivery patterns.
• Use CI/CD, DevOps, GitOps and MLOps automation to improve delivery speed and reliability.
• Partner with researchers and platform teams to translate scientific needs into technical solutions.
• Mentor engineers and promote responsible, compliant AI engineering.
