HP, Inc. seeks a Diagnostics and Applications Project/Program Manager to lead end-to-end planning, execution, and operational management of diagnostic solutions for HP Personal Systems.

You will coordinate with engineering, architecture, product teams, support, and analytics to deliver scalable diagnostics that improve customer experience and enable proactive support. The role covers requirements through release, sustainment, and performance reporting.

Formación

  • Bachelor's or higher in CS, Engineering, Business or related field.
  • 7–10 years in engineering development, project planning, or related area.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and schedules.

Diagnostics and Applications Project/Program Manager
Description

The Diagnostics Program Manager (PM) is responsible for leading the end-to-end planning, execution, and operational management of hardware and software diagnostic solutions across HP Personal Systems. This role serves as the central coordination point between engineering, architecture, product teams, support organizations, and analytics functions to ensure delivery of scalable, high-quality diagnostics capabilities that improve customer experience, enable proactive support, and drive operational efficiency.

The Diagnostics PM owns the lifecycle of diagnostics initiatives—from requirements definition through release, sustainment, and performance reporting—while ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals, telemetry strategy, and AI-enabled support transformation

Job Summary
  • This role is responsible for leading multiple project teams and managing activities of supporting teams and internal development partners, and overseeing logistics of internal unit request's for development. The role applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues, and leverages it to drive innovation and technology integration. The role manages project activities, develops schedules, budgets and resource plans, tracks progress against the established plans and drives best practices.
Responsibilities
  • Manages and leads a program involving multiple functions and project teams to drive the development and implementation process for a tool, application, product, or service offering.
  • Develops and directs development of schedules, critical deliverables, budget, resource allocation plan, and other support requirements for assigned program.
  • Manages activities of supporting project teams and internal development partners; ensures progress against established plan and makes determinations based on analysis of business information to alter or update schedule and resource allocation to meet product requirements and development schedule.
  • Manages program to ensure procedural and business compliance, maintenance, and safety practices are followed for new and existing equipment.
  • Communicates program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to product stakeholders; collaborates with management, cross-functional teams, and development partners to recommend and implement changes to product, processes, or business practices to resolve escalated issues, produce solutions, and ensure adherence to budgets and established product roadmaps and schedules.
  • Follows up on open points/actions that were observed during development; ensures conveyed as actionable items.
  • Drives innovation and integration of new technologies and quality initiatives into deliverables and activities.
  • Drives best practices through documentation control policies and procedures.
  • Leads and provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.
Education & Experience Recommended
  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in engineering development and implementation, project planning tools and software packages, people management, or a related field.
