Verisure in Madrid is seeking a DevOps Engineer to bridge development and operations for secure, connected alarm systems. You’ll drive CI/CD, automate deployments, and shape cloud-native platforms across device, edge, and backend layers.

You will collaborate with Product Owners and cross-functional teams to validate PoCs, design scalable architectures, and ensure high availability, security, and reliability of IoT services. Fluency in English and strong scripting skills are required.

Formación

• 3+ years in roles combining development and operations (IoT, M2M, DevOps, SRE).
• Deep SW development skills and experience with microservices on Kubernetes.
• Strong scripting skills (Python) and ability to prototype quickly.

In this role you will bridge development and operations for Verisure’s secure, connected alarm systems. You’ll work within the IT/M2M team to deploy and optimize platforms across device, cloud and platform layers, collaborating with Product Owners to validate and roll out PoCs and improvements. You help increase reliability, reduce incidents, and streamline lifecycle operations, contributing to the company’s mission of secure, world-class smart-home solutions. You’ll be at the core of our IoT development, shaping scalable, secure services and driving innovation.

• Lead DevOps for alarm-system development and deployment
• Automate deployments and drive CI/CD adoption from legacy to modern DevOps
• Build and validate PoCs quickly using scripting (Python) and prototyping
• Design and enforce high-level architecture with focus on NFRs (availability, security, scalability)
• Implement monitoring and telemetry with Grafana, time-series databases and Elastic Stack
• Oversee API design and integration patterns; guide QE/QA and automation
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Product Owner, Scrum Master, dev teams) to translate operational needs into technical solutions
• Ensure continuous integration and artifact promotion through GIT repos, Jenkins pipelines and multi-environment deployments
• Support security and device lifecycle management for embedded products
• Foster a collaborative, high-energy culture aligned with company values
• 3+ years in roles combining development and operations (IoT, M2M, DevOps, SRE)
• Deep SW development skills and experience with microservices on Kubernetes
• Expert in deployments automation and agile methodologies
• Strong scripting skills (Python) and ability to prototype quickly
• Experience with monitoring/telemetry stacks (Grafana, Prometheus/InfluxDB, Elastic Stack)
• API design and high-level architecture design experience
• Familiarity with cellular concepts; knowledge of AT commands, IMS, VoLTE a plus
• Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and databases (SQL/NoSQL)
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Fluent English (B2+); 7+ years total software development experience
• Bachelor/Master in Computer Engineering or Telecommunications
• Experience with cellular modem management or SIM lifecycle (preferred)
• Team player
• Strong communication; alignment with product owner and scrum master
