THEKER Robotics is seeking a Deployment Project Engineer to take robotic cells from initial installation to rollout at multiple sites across Spain. You will plan the rollout with customers, ensure parts are in stock, lead certification, and coordinate a multi-disciplinary team.

This is a coordination role, not a design role. Daily work involves talking to customers, the commercial team, engineering, supply chain and suppliers, managing paperwork and deployment documentation to keep projects on

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
• Experience coordinating industrial projects with real customers and deadlines.
• Comfort dealing with customers and explaining capabilities and timelines.
• Strong planning and organisation, managing multiple open items.
• Calm under pressure; plans may change and delays occur.
• Fluent Spanish and technical English.
• Based in Barcelona or willing to relocate (100% on-site), with travel to customer sites in Spain.

Your role

We are looking for a Deployment Project Engineer to take our robotic cells from their first successful installation to many more, at the same customer and at new ones. Every THEKER project starts with a small team inventing the solution: designing the cell, hitting the KPIs and getting the first one running in a customer's plant. Once the product is stable and heads into European certification, the project needs a different owner. That is you. You take over a proven cell and turn it into something we can repeat: you plan the rollout with the customer, make sure every part we need is in our warehouse, lead the certification process and keep a dozen people moving in the same direction. This is a coordination role more than a design role, and we want to be upfront about it. Most of your day is talking to people: the customer, our commercial team, engineering, supply chain and suppliers. You ask for things, chase them, plan around delays and keep the project on track when it isn't. There is real paperwork involved, from certification files to deployment documentation. If you want to design new robots, this is not the job. If you like making complex projects happen in the real world, it is.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics or similar).
• Experience running or coordinating industrial projects: installations, machinery or automation projects, with real customers and real deadlines.
• Comfort dealing with customers. You can sit in front of a plant manager, understand what they need and explain what we can deliver and when.
• Strong planning and organisation. You keep track of many open items at once and you don't let them drop.
• A high tolerance for frustration. Suppliers will be late, plans will change and the same question will need asking three times. You stay calm and keep going.
• Fluent Spanish and technical English.
• Based in Barcelona or willing to relocate (100% on-site), with regular travel to customer sites in Spain.

Nice to have

• Experience with CE marking, the Machinery Directive or the new EU Machinery Regulation (2023/1230).
• Experience working with procurement, supply chain or stock planning in a hardware company.
• Background in industrial automation, robotics, automotive or another standards-driven industry.
• Exposure to technical documentation for patents or industrial property.

Main Responsibilities

• Own each project once the first cell is working, from the transition with the founding project team to rollout at scale.
• Plan the path from one cell to many with the customer and our commercial team, with realistic timelines.
• Coordinate with supply chain and stock so every component, including the parts we design and manufacture in-house, is in our warehouse before it's needed.
• Lead the European certification process for each system and manage its safety documentation.
• Build and maintain the deployment documentation that lets us replicate a cell at a new site without starting from zero.
• Track every open technical and operational item across your projects and drive it to closure.
• Keep engineering informed about what happens on site, so the product and the deployments evolve together.
• Prepare structured technical material to support our patent and industrial property work.
