TheKER Robotics, based in Barcelona, is seeking a Buyer to build and own THEKER's purchasing function from the ground up. You will manage suppliers, drive cost discipline, and ensure component availability for engineering and integration teams.

You will work closely with Mechanical, Electronics, and Robotics teams on sourcing decisions, BOM management, and supplier performance. This is a 100% on-site role in Barcelona, with a fast-paced, ambitious environment and opportunities to shape

Formación

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Previous buyer/procurement experience in manufacturing.
• Proven cost-down success with quantified savings.
• Experience managing supplier relationships, RFQs, and end-to-end POs.
• Strong pricing, lead times, and quality attention.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• Based in Barcelona or willing to relocate; 100% on-site.

Your Role

We are looking for a Buyer to build and own THEKER's purchasing function from the ground up. THEKER builds physical robots. That means a continuous flow of electronic components, mechanical parts, sensors, cables, and custom hardware, often with tight timelines and no room for supply failure. Right now, purchasing is distributed across the engineering team. Your job is to change that. You will create structure: qualify and manage suppliers, drive cost discipline, reduce lead times, and ensure the right components are available when the engineering and integration teams need them. You will work directly with Mechanical, Electronics, and Robotics Integration engineers on sourcing decisions, BOM management, and component availability, becoming the operational backbone of everything we build.

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.


• Previous experience as a buyer, category buyer, or procurement specialist, ideally in automotive, industrial, or electronics/hardware manufacturing.


• A track record of negotiated, quantified cost-down (percentage or absolute savings), not just process management.


• Experience managing supplier relationships, running RFQs, and handling purchase orders end to end.


• Strong attention to detail on pricing, lead times, and quality.


• Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with incomplete information and shifting priorities.


• Fluent Spanish and English.


• Based in Barcelona or willing to relocate (100% on-site role).

Nice to have

• Experience in robotics, industrial automation, electronics manufacturing, or deep tech.


• Familiarity with ERP or procurement tools (SAP, Odoo, or similar).


• Experience sourcing electronic components or custom mechanical parts.


• Knowledge of incoterms, customs processes, and international purchasing.


• Additional languages relevant to sourcing regions, such as Mandarin, German, or French.

Main Responsibilities

• Track pricing and lead times across suppliers, identifying opportunities to reduce cost and improve reliability.


• Monitor open POs and delivery timelines, proactively flagging supply risks before they impact production or deployment.


• Manage inventory levels for recurring components, balancing availability against cash tied up in stock.


• Build procurement infrastructure from scratch: approval workflows, spend visibility, vendor evaluation criteria, and documentation standards.


• Support new product development by anticipating component lead times and sourcing requirements early in the design process.
