Punt Roma in Granollers, near Barcelona, Spain, seeks a Project Engineer to drive capital projects and provide technical support across investments. You will prepare documentation, budgets, and technical solutions tailored to each project, while supervising installation and modifications of machinery on-site and off-site, coordinating contractors and staff.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing company in a similar role.
• End-to-end engineering project experience: technical, capex management, suppliers' negotiation, installation and commissioning.
• Food or chemical industry is a preference; other industries considered.
• Solid MS Office and AutoCAD proficiency; strong analytical and communication skills.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; able to present to diverse teams.

Responsabilidades

• Overall management of capital projects at the manufacturing plant in Granollers, Barcelona, Spain.
• Defining the correct requirements for technologies that meet production needs while complying with safety and quality standards.
• Creating budgets, timelines, and investment requirements based on quotations and feasibility assessments.
• Coordinating internal and external resources for project needs.
• Collaborating with other teams on technology trials, FMEA analysis, and process troubleshooting.
• Coordinating technical departments and reporting on project status.
• Commissioning technology into operation and evaluating performance after the trial period.
• Assisting in organizing tenders for the purchase of new technologies, machines, and equipment, or leading these tenders including evaluation of bids and securing purchase orders.
• Accountability for adherence to project budgets and timelines.
• Accountability for preparing project status reports.
• Accountability for compliance with project management rules and processes.

Job Description

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for defining and providing investment and technical support on capital projects. The Project Engineer prepares documentation, budgets, plans, and technical solutions suitable for each specific project. You will oversee the installation and potential modifications of machines and equipment both on-site and off-site, supervise and manage the work of external contractors and internal staff, and be accountable for adherence to the planned budget. You will be responsible for the proper implementation of applicable technical standards and local regulations, and you will contribute to technical development and be accountable for its implementation.

Skills & Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing company in a similar role.
• Experience managing engineering projects from the start to end: technical, capex management, suppliers' negotiation, project defence, installation and commissioning.
• Food or chemical industry experience is a preference, but any other industry will also be considered.
• Working knowledge of MS Office and AutoCAD.
• General technological awareness, analytical skills, negotiation skills and logical thinking.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
• Experience with the implementation of automation equipment.
• Very good knowledge of English language and Spanish is essential.
