Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe, Spain, seeks a Database Product Manager to lead strategy, lifecycle and evolution of the database product. You will align with internal customers and tech standards, guiding a global team on database, observability and automation initiatives.

You will drive roadmaps, manage releases and SLAs, monitor trends, and optimize cost and performance while coordinating with external providers and stakeholders in a dynamic, multi‑disciplinary environment.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years as a Database engineer or similar role.
• Proven experience as a Database Administrator, Database Developer, or Database Specialist.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with major relational databases.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases is a plus.
• Knowledge of automation of database tasks is a plus.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team.
• Languages: advanced English and negotiation level Spanish.

Responsabilidades

• Define and drive the database product strategy, roadmap and lifecycle.
• Translate internal customer needs into a prioritized backlog and scalable solutions.
• Design database solutions balancing performance, scalability and cost.
• Manage releases, version upgrades and continuous product evolution.
• Define and govern operational models and SLAs.
• Monitor market trends and driveInnovation in database technologies.
• Define and manage financial models (chargeback) and promote efficient consumption.
