MultiSafepay is a leading payment service provider with a passion for secure, accessible payments. We are seeking a Database Administrator (PostgreSQL) to maintain and optimise databases and the supporting data infrastructure powering our platform.

You will work closely with data analysts and engineers to keep data accurate, accessible, and fast. The role emphasizes reliability, performance, and data pipeline support, with opportunities to grow within a diverse, international team.

Formación

• 3+ years in database administration, data engineering, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL: performance tuning, indexing, backups, query optimization.
• Solid understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline fundamentals.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain and optimise PostgreSQL databases and data warehouses.
• Monitor performance and resolve bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
• Support and automate ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Ensure data integrity, security and compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with data analysts to provide well-structured, accurate data for reporting.
• Work with Senior Data Engineer on pipeline design and architecture decisions.

About the role

We're looking for a Database Administrator (PostgreSQL) to help maintain and optimise the databases and search infrastructure that power MultiSafepay's platform. This role is focused on database performance, reliability, and data pipeline support. You'll work closely with our data analysts and engineering teams to keep data accurate, accessible, and fast.

What you'll be doing

• Maintaining and optimising PostgreSQL databases & data warehouses
• Monitoring database performance, and diagnosing and resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies
• Supporting and helping automate ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading
• Ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards
• Working closely with data analysts to ensure they have well-structured, accurate data for reporting
• Collaborating with the Senior Data Engineer on pipeline design and architecture decisions

What you'll need

• 3+ years of experience in database administration, data engineering, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL: performance tuning, indexing, backups, query optimization
• Solid understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline fundamentals
• SQL fluency; scripting ability (e.g. Python or bash) for automation is a plus but not required
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to data quality
• Proficiency in English, with strong communication skills
