Hexagon AB is seeking a Customer Data Steward to own data quality for a defined customer data domain within Hexagon I&G's CCMD programme. This role interacts across sales, marketing, finance, IT and digitalisation to maintain data standards, support deduplication and matching rules, and report on data quality trends to drive continuous improvement.

• Prior experience in a data steward, data quality analyst, or MDM analyst role.
• Strong data governance mindset; understands data as a business asset.
• Excellent attention to detail; spot inconsistencies, duplicates and quality issues.
• Understanding of master data management (MDM) concepts, including golden record creation, mastering rules, and matching/deduplication logic.
• Experience with MDM or CRM platforms (e.g. Salesforce, SAP, Profisee, Boomi, Informatica).
• Experience with data quality tooling – profiling, validation, and monitoring via dashboards and exception reports.
• SQL or query-based data investigation skills.
• Understanding of data models, including customer hierarchies, account types, industry classifications, and contact relationships.
• Familiarity with data privacy/compliance requirements (GDPR or equivalent).
• Experience defining or applying customer data standards and working within or supporting a customer master data programme.
• Track record of working with both business and IT stakeholders to resolve data ownership and quality issues.
• Strong communication skills; able to translate technical issues to business language.
• Fluent in English is a must.

Responsabilidades

• Data Quality Ownership: Own data quality for a defined customer data domain, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency of customer records.
• Domain Ownership & Roadmap: Take end-to-end ownership of the customer data domain, defining and managing a long-term roadmap for data quality and process change, and prioritising initiatives in line with wider CCMD programme goals.
• Escalation Management: Act as the first point of escalation for data quality issues and exceptions, coordinating resolution with business and IT stakeholders.
• Root Cause Analysis: Work with the Customer Master Data Manager to trace data quality issues back to their source, identifying and addressing underlying process and system gaps.
• Data Standards & Documentation: Maintain and contribute to data standards, business glossaries, and data dictionaries, including naming conventions, mandatory fields, and classification schemes.
• Deduplication & Matching: Support the definition and refinement of deduplication and matching rules to improve golden record creation.
• Reporting: Report on data quality metrics and trends, using dashboards and exception reports to highlight areas for improvement.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work across sales, marketing, finance, IT, and digitalisation to resolve data conflicts and champion changes to processes and systems.
• Change Management: Support the rollout of new data standards and processes to business users, translating technical issues into business language to aid adoption.

The Customer Data Steward supports Hexagon I&G's Customer Master Data (CCMD) programme by owning data quality & key business processes for a defined customer data domain. The candidate should have experience working within a global organisation serving multiple interconnected businesses across sales, marketing, finance, IT, and digitalisation.

As a key member of our team, you will be the first point of escalation for customer data quality issues, working closely with the Customer Master Data Manager to trace issues back to source systems and processes. The successful candidate will help maintain data standards, support deduplication and matching rules, and report on data quality trends to drive continuous improvement across the business.
