We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to design, develop and deploy machine learning solutions supporting predictive maintenance initiatives within the aviation sector. The role combines advanced data science expertise with production‑grade engineering capabilities, delivering business value through scalable and reliable ML products.

What will the day‑to‑day look like?

• Develop and deploy end‑to‑end ML solutions in production environments.
• Build predictive maintenance models for complex physical assets.
• Apply advanced ML techniques including XGBoost, SHAP and explainability methods.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define requirements and prioritize initiatives.
• Contribute to product roadmap definition and solution adoption.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior data scientists.
• Explore and evaluate innovative approaches such as Causal ML.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams across international locations.

Valuable Background

• Extensive experience in applied Machine Learning.
• Strong Python and ML engineering skills.
• Experience deploying ML models into production.
• Expertise in XGBoost, SHAP and model interpretability.
• Predictive maintenance experience in aviation, industrial, automotive or similar sectors.
• Experience influencing stakeholders and driving business impact.
• Causal ML knowledge is a plus.
• Barcelona‑based (3 days/week) with regular travel to the UK.
