Avolta in Madrid is seeking a Global Data Scientist Specialist to unlock insights across its IT landscape and drive strategic decisions. You will transform complex data into actionable intelligence and support the Travel Experience Revolution.

Based in Madrid with hybrid flexibility, you will design and scale ML pipelines, collaborate with analysts and stakeholders, and apply advanced analytics to improve operations and business outcomes.

Formación

• Proven experience in data modeling using analytics tools.
• Strong knowledge of Python, PySpark, SQL.
• Experience delivering end-to-end data products.
• Fluent English.

Responsabilidades

• Identify emerging analytic trends, data needs, and innovative solutions to address business challenges.
• Collaborates with Analytics Business Analysts and stakeholders to generate hypotheses and develop models that answer impactful business questions.
• Design and implement statistical models to extract meaningful insights from large datasets.
• Parses, cleanses, and manipulates structured and unstructured data for analysis.
• Conduct quality assurance testing to ensure accuracy and reliability of models.
• Works with data sourcing teams to develop, test, implement, and maintain analytic models, including attribute identification, exploratory data analysis, and data transformation.
• Partners with business teams to review data sources, resolve inconsistencies, and validate business logic for data discovery initiatives.
• Performs advanced text, quantitative, statistical, financial, and operational analyses.
• Designs, builds, and scales end-to-end ML pipelines, enabling efficient data processing, model training, deployment, and monitoring in production environments

Purpose of the Role

The Global Data Scientist Specialist will leverage advanced analytics and data science to unlock insights that drive strategic decisions and operational excellence across Avolta’s global IT landscape. This role is pivotal in transforming complex data into actionable intelligence, enabling innovation and supporting the company’s vision of revolutionizing the travel experience. This role will be based in Madrid with hybrid flexibility.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience: Proven track record in data modeling using leading analytics tools and relational data structures
• Technical Skills: Strong programming skills in Python, PySpark and SQL, with solid understanding of databases, data modeling, and data structures
• Machine Learning Expertise: Strong foundation in machine learning techniques, including model selection, performance evaluation, and validation; experience with model explainability, interpretability, and auditability to ensure transparency and reliability in production environments
• Big Data & Cloud: Hands‑on experience with modern cloud‑based data platforms, such as Databricks and familiarity with scalable data architecture
• Collaboration: Ability to work cross‑functionally with IT, business analysts, and data teams
• Communication Skills: Strong communication and storytelling abilities, with a clear focus on translating complex analytical concepts into actionable insights for non‑technical stakeholders and business users
• Languages: Fluent English (spoken and written)
• Personal Competences: Team worker, able to lead and support others, and contribute to growth within a collaborative and agile team environment
• Data Product Mindset: Experience delivering end‑to‑end data products, from data ingestion and modeling to deployment and business adoption
• Visualization Skills: Experience with data visualization tools, especially Power BI, to effectively communicate insights and support decision-making
