Bunge is seeking a motivated Data Quality & AI Engineer to join the Data Platform team in a hybrid setup. You will design, develop, and deploy cloud-native data quality and AI solutions on Google Cloud, focusing on Python, AI agents, and Terraform-based infrastructure.

You will collaborate with Data Engineers, Product Owners, and Data Governance teams to drive scalable data quality improvements and AI-powered automation across the data mesh.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in Software/Data/Cloud engineering or related technical role.
• Strong Python, API development, automation, scripting, and application development.
• Strong knowledge of Cloud & Infra, GCP, Terraform, Cloud Functions, DevOps, CI/CD, Docker and IaC.
• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) or Generative AI applications.
• Experience building or contributing to AI Agent/orchestrator frameworks is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with containerization and cloud-native deployment (Docker, Cloud Run, Kubernetes).
• Strong SQL knowledge and experience with BigQuery or modern data platforms.
• Exposure to data engineering concepts, data pipelines and distributed architectures.
• Basic understanding of data quality, observability, and data governance.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data quality applications and automation frameworks using Python.
• Build and deploy Generative AI solutions, including AI assistants, copilots, and RAG architectures.
• Develop AI Agent and multi-agent orchestration solutions using LLM frameworks and cloud-native services.
• Implement cloud infrastructure using Terraform and IaC best practices.
• Develop and support data quality solutions on GCP, including BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, DataPlex, Vertex AI, Dataflow.
• Build APIs, integrations, and reusable libraries for AI/data platforms.
• Evaluate and adopt emerging AI, LLM, and cloud technologies.
• Communicate technical designs effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Overview

We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Data Quality & AI Engineer to join our Data Platform team. This role is focused on designing, developing, and deploying cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with a strong emphasis on Python development, Generative AI, AI Agents, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and modern data platform capabilities.

The successful candidate will contribute to the development of scalable Data Quality AI-powered solutions, automation frameworks, and cloud services that support our Data Mesh and Data Platform strategy. You will work closely with Data Engineers, Product Owners and Data Governance teams to build innovative solutions that improve productivity and data quality for better decision-making across the organization.

This position is ideal for an engineer with strong software development skills who is eager to apply AI technologies, cloud engineering practices, and automation to solve real data quality challenges.

Main Accountabilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data quality applications, services, and automation frameworks using Python.
• Build and deploy Generative AI solutions, including AI assistants, copilots, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures, and intelligent automation workflows.
• Develop and maintain AI Agent and multi-agent orchestration solutions leveraging modern LLM frameworks and cloud-native services.
• Implement cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
• Develop and support data quality solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including services such as BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, DataPlex, Vertex AI, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, and Dataflow.
• Build APIs, integrations, and reusable libraries to support AI and data platform initiatives.
• Participate in evaluating and adopting emerging AI, LLM, and cloud technologies.
• Communicate technical concepts and solution designs effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or a related technical role.
• Strong programming skills in Python, including API development, automation, scripting, and application development; SQL, REST APIs, Git.
• Strong knowledge on Cloud & Infrastructure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Terraform, Cloud Functions, DevOps & Platform Engineering, CI/CD, Docker and IaaC.
• Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI applications, or AI-powered solutions.
• Experience building or contributing to AI Agent or agent orchestration frameworks is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with containerization and cloud-native deployment practices (Docker, Cloud Run, Kubernetes is a plus).
• Strong SQL knowledge and experience working with modern data platforms and analytical databases such as BigQuery.
• Exposure to data engineering concepts, data pipelines, and distributed data architectures is preferred.
• Basic understanding of data quality, observability, and data governance concepts is a plus.
