Shalion Data Services Limited is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to own and evolve the Snowflake-based platform and AWS lakehouse. You will manage Terraform code, Airflow orchestration, and security governance while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, international environment.

Based in Barcelona with a hybrid work model (3 days in-office, 2 remote), the role offers a clear career path, competitive salary, and flexible benefits. Fluent Spanish and English are required.

Formación

• 3+ years in data platform, data engineering, or similar roles in production.
• Hands-on Snowflake experience with storage integrations, stages, and RBAC.
• Solid Terraform experience or equivalent IaC.
• Experience with Apache Airflow including production operations.
• Familiarity with AWS (S3, IAM) and Iceberg lakehouse concepts.
• Proficient GitHub for version control and CI/CD with security mindset.
• Strong communication with technical and business stakeholders.
• Fluency in Spanish and English (B1+).

Responsabilidades

• Own and evolve our Snowflake platform: warehouses, databases, stages, shares, and network policies.
• Design and maintain access model with RBAC, grants, and least-privilege.
• Manage platform as code with Terraform via PRs and GitHub Actions.
• Operate AWS lakehouse: ingest Parquet files from S3 and Iceberg tables.
• Orchestrate and harden pipelines in Airflow; monitor reliability and cost with Synq/SELECT.dev.
• Apply security and governance practices: authentication, secrets, naming, data ownership.
