Almirall is seeking a Data Management Engineer Trainee to join the AIDE group within the R&D Data Science team in Spain. You will organize and manage critical laboratory data to support cutting-edge drug discovery and development projects.

You will work across data modeling, ingestion pipelines, and data integration, partnering with Chemistry, Biology, and IT teams to ensure high-quality data foundations for analytics and future AI applications.

Formación

• Degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, chemical/biomedical engineering or data science.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL databases are required.
• Experience with data management and scientific data analysis is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Design and support data models, schemas and ingestion pipelines within the R&D LIMS.
• Maintain and optimize data processing pipelines for laboratory data, focusing on chemical and biochemical assays.
• Collaborate with Chemistry, Biology and IT teams to understand data requirements and improve workflows across R&D.

Your work will contribute to building high-quality data foundations that enable advanced analytics, data-driven decision making and future Artificial Intelligence applications.What will you do?As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of data management and engineering activities, including:Data Model DevelopmentDesign and support the implementation of data models, schemas and ingestion pipelines within our R&D LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System), ensuring the accurate integration and organization of scientific data.Data Processing & IntegrationContribute to the maintenance, optimization and monitoring of data processing pipelines for different types of laboratory data, with a particular focus on chemical and biochemical assay information.
