We are looking for a Data Governance Professional with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Data Governance.

Our client it's an important international company, based with his HUB Tech in Barcelona.

The ideal candidate will have experience of having been part of a team working within the Data Governance structure, and/or collaborated on projects of the same scope.

You must have an understanding of the roles and responsibilities related to data governance and ensuring compliance with data quality standards and best practices.

In addition, experience in managing change processes is essential. This position requires excellent communication and presentation skills, particularly through PowerPoint, as well as a proactive, solution-oriented approach to managing various data governance initiatives.

The candidate must be able to interact effectively with stakeholders, ensuring that data governance practices are not only followed, but continuously improved.

Key responsibilities

• Accompany in supporting the development, implementation and ongoing monitoring of data governance policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent and effective data management practices, addressing data complexity and change management challenges.
• Create detailed reports and presentations (primarily PowerPoint) to communicate data governance strategies, progress and key initiatives to stakeholders, including senior management.
• Develop and facilitate training sessions, workshops and on-boarding for new team members on data governance best practices.
• Work closely with data stewards, business units and other stakeholders to identify, prioritise and resolve data quality issues.
• Maintain and continuously improve documentation related to data governance standards, procedures and tools, ensuring alignment with evolving business needs and data challenges.
• Organise data governance meetings, discussions and workshops to foster a collaborative environment for knowledge sharing and decision making.
• Collaborate on change management initiatives within data governance to improve processes and ensure effective adoption of new policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience having been part of a Data Governance and Data Quality team, with verifiable experience in supporting Data Governance and Data Quality tasks.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a high level of proficiency in PowerPoint and the ability to present complex data concepts clearly to a variety of audiences.
• Proficient in English, both spoken and written, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a global environment.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management, and effectively manage relationships.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills, with a proactive attitude towards managing tasks and overcoming challenges.
• Ability to lead initiatives and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while ensuring alignment with business objectives and priorities.
• Previous experience in data management, business analytics or a related field is required, with experience in policy creation and change management essential.
