Capitole is seeking a Lead Data Engineer in Barcelona to lead a team of 5 data engineers and deliver scalable data solutions. You will own data pipelines, architecture decisions, and collaborate with stakeholders to align data initiatives with business goals.

The role requires strong hands-on expertise in AWS, Airflow, DBT, Snowflake/ClickHouse, S3, and a track record of delivering robust ETL, data modeling, and performance tuning. Hybrid work model offered.

Formación

• 4-5 years in Data Engineering with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
• Expertise in AWS cloud services including S3, Lambda, and Redshift or equivalent.
• Hands-on with Airflow, DBT, Docker, and ClickHouse/Snowflake.
• Strong ETL development, data modeling, and performance tuning.
• Proficient in SQL and Python for data engineering tasks.
• Solid familiarity with Agile methodologies and Jira for sprint planning.
• Knowledge of GitHub workflows, branching strategies, and CI/CD.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; able to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and mentor a team of 5 Data Engineers, fostering collaboration and technical excellence.
• Own and drive data engineering best practices, ensuring optimal use of AWS, Airflow, DBT, Snowflake, ClickHouse, and S3.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, assess priorities, and define data engineering roadmaps.
• Manage sprint planning and backlog prioritization using Jira.
• Oversee data pipeline design, development, and maintenance for scalability and performance.
• Collaborate on data quality, governance and security frameworks.
• Establish and enforce best practices in version control, CI/CD, and code quality using GitHub.
