Job summary

AVEVA, a global leader in industrial software, is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our Data Science & AI team in Madrid. You will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures enabling advanced analytics, ML, and AI agent development.

You will collaborate with data scientists, AI engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure data is reliable, accessible, and optimized for analytics and operational use cases in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Experience with Spark/Databricks.
• Experience in ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Strong Azure experience.
• Databricks Unity Catalog experience (governance, access control).
• Experience with Power Automate or similar tools.
• Strong data modeling and warehousing knowledge.
• Git and CI/CD experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintainrobust, scalable data pipelines.
• Build and manage data architectures and data models.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and AI Engineers.
• Optimize data processing for performance and cost-efficiency.
• Integrate multiple data sources.
• Develop workflows using Microsoft tools (Power Automate, Logic Apps, Azure Data Factory).
• Design end-to-end solutions within Microsoft ecosystem.
• Implement best practices for data engineering and version control.
• Support AI agents and automation workflows.
