Client Server Limited in Madrid is seeking a Data Engineer to lead transitioning the data platform to Azure, using SQL, Python, PySpark and Pandas to ingest and model data.

You will work onsite Monday to Friday in Madrid, collaborate in a small team, apply modern data engineering best practices, and help implement event streaming while maintaining data quality for a hedge fund client.

Formación

• Top Spanish university with Bachillerato 9.0+ and University 7.0+ in CS or Mathematics preferred.
• Commercial Data Engineering experience with SQL, Apache Spark, Python (PySpark, Pandas).
• Experience with Azure Databricks.
• Understanding of modern data engineering best practices.
• Eagerness to join a start-up and shape the role.
• Collaborative with strong English communication.

Data Engineer (Python SQL Azure Databricks) Madrid onsite to €130,000

Do you have a first class education combined with Data Engineering skills?

You could be progressing your career at a start-up Investment Management firm that have secure backing, an established Hedge Fund client as a partner and massive growth potential.

As a Data Engineer you'll be instrumental in transitioning the core data platform to Azure, managing 3rd party data ingestion and integration. You'll collaborate and be supported by a small team, seeking ways to improve the data quality and introduce event streaming.

Location:

You’ll be based in Madrid on a fulltime basis (Monday to Friday).

About you:

• You have studied at a top 10 university in Spain (or top 200 globally) and have achieved 9.0 and above in Bachillerato and 7.0 and above in University - Computer Science or Mathematics preferred
• You have commercial Data Engineering experience working with technologies such as SQL, Apache Spark and Python including PySpark and Pandas
• You have experience with Azure Databricks
• You have a good understanding of modern data engineering best practices
• You're excited to join a start-up in a role that you can shape and influence
• You're collaborative with excellent English language communication skills
