Q-Tech Barcelona hub is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to design and scale systems processing millions of events daily, build batch and real-time pipelines, and write production-grade Python backend logic. You will integrate data from Splunk, ServiceNow, and Salesforce to enable AI-driven analytics.

Qualifications

• Production-level Python experience.
• Experience with PySpark and large-scale data processing.
• Background in data pipelines (ELT).
• Knowledge of distributed and event-driven systems.
• Engineering mindset for scalable, maintainable systems.
• English required in international environments.
• Nice-to-have: cybersecurity experience; Kafka, Airflow, DBT, Kubernetes, cloud.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop systems processing millions of events daily.
• Build batch and real-time data pipelines.
• Write production-grade Python and backend logic.
• Integrate data from multiple sources: Splunk, ServiceNow, Salesforce.
• Model and structure data for efficient consumption.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and availability.
• Develop monitoring and alerting solutions for reliability.
• Collaborate with backend, frontend, and product teams.
• Participate in architecture discussions and propose improvements.
• Contribute to future evolution of AI-driven analytics.
• Work on high-scale distributed systems; help structure CI/CD pipelines.
