Job summary

Zynga is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our Central Analytics team in Barcelona. You will write advanced SQL for experiments, design scalable data marts, and build reusable data tools and AI-powered workflows that impact multiple games.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (engineering, CS, maths, stats or physics).
• Strong SQL, including CTEs, and large-scale data warehousing experience.
• Experience building data pipelines in production (Airflow, Docker, S3, CI/CD).
• Python for building production analytics solutions; basic to intermediate LLM experience.
• Collaborative team player, fast learner, detail-oriented and pragmatic.

Responsibilities

• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for experiments and feature engineering.
• Design and maintain cross-game data marts and clean transformed data.
• Develop scalable, reusable data tools and AI-enabled workflows.
• Partner with game analytics to build data tools used across apps.

Write and optimize complex SQL queries to support, experimentation, and model feature engineering across large-scale player datasets. Design, build, and maintain cross-game data marts, providing clean and transformed data ready for Analysts to use. Develop scalable, reusable, and maintainable code, tools, and frameworks that can be adopted across different game teams. Partner with game analytics teams to co-design, build, and maintain data tools and products used across multiple applications. Build and maintain end-to-end AI pipelines to support the day to day Analysts tasks. Share knowledge across the team by educating game analysts on coding and software engineering best practices. • A bachelor degree in a quantitative field (e.g Engineering, Computer Science, Maths, Statistics or Physics).
• Advanced SQL skills, including experience with CTEs, query optimization, and large-scale data warehouses.
• Advanced experience building and maintaining data pipelines in production environments, using tools such as Airflow, Docker, S3, and CI/CD workflows.
• Advanced experience in Python for developing production-level data analytics solutions.
• Basic to intermediate experience integrating LLMs or working with generative AI tools and workflows.
• A collaborative team player who builds trust, communicates openly, and contributes to shared success.
• A fast learner who is proactive and comfortable working with ambiguity.
• Detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to accuracy and high-quality outcomes.
• Pragmatic, with the ability to balance short-term delivery needs with long-term technical quality.

• Experience creating and maintaining dashboards in Tableau or a similar BI tool.
