Emerald Stay in Barcelona is seeking a Data Engineer to design and operate data pipelines, structures, and models that power our web products and AI projects. You will own end-to-end data flows, ensure data quality, and collaborate with product teams to introduce analytics-driven improvements.

You will work with MongoDB, Metabase, Node.js, AWS data services, and dbt in a bilingual, fast-paced environment, contributing to dashboards, data schemas, and AI integrations while growing your expertise

Formación

• Master's degree (Bac+5) in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Statistics, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in data engineering.
• Significant experience with MongoDB and a BI tool (ideally Metabase).
• Experience with NoSQL/MongoDB and a BI tool.
• Knowledge of dbt for data transformation.
• Familiarity with the Node.js environment.
• Use of AI in service of data.
• Rigor and strong organizational skills in data handling.
• Curiosity and interest in data valorization.
• Team spirit and ability to explain technical topics in simple terms.
• Professional English.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure the quality, consistency, and freshness of data across all systems.
• Automate data flows between various sources and destinations.
• Design and maintain dashboards, reports, and KPIs in Metabase; create optimized queries.
• Support internal teams in leveraging and understanding data; propose KPIs and visual improvements.
• Model NoSQL data schemas tailored to use cases; optimize queries and indexes.
• Ensure data consistency and implement migration strategies.
• Prepare, clean, and structure datasets for AI applications.
• Collaborate with product teams to integrate AI components (LLM, NLP).
• Participate in technology watch on AI tools and frameworks.
• Contribute to the back-end of web projects (Node.js) and data model design.

Eterniti is accelerating its data-driven strategy and strengthening its Data & Artificial Intelligence division. We are looking for a Data Engineer to structure, leverage, and maximize the value of our data for our web products and AI projects. You will be at the heart of the data value chain, from collection to delivery in our analytics tools and applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Pipelines and Data Engineering

• Design and develop data collection, transformation, and loading pipelines (ETL/ELT)
• Structure and model data to meet analytical and application needs
• Ensure the quality, consistency, and freshness of data across all systems
• Automate data flows between various sources and destinations

Analytics and Reporting (Metabase)

• Design and maintain dashboards, reports, and key performance indicators in Metabase
• Create optimized queries to power business dashboards
• Support internal teams in leveraging and understanding data
• Be proactive in proposing KPIs and data visualization improvements

Databases (MongoDB)

• Model NoSQL data schemas tailored to the group's use cases
• Optimize queries, aggregations, and indexes to ensure performance
• Ensure data consistency and implement migration strategies when necessary

Artificial Intelligence

• Prepare, clean, and structure datasets for AI applications
• Collaborate with product teams to integrate AI components (LLM, NLP, etc.) into applications
• Participate in technology watch on AI tools and frameworks

Web Projects (Node.js)

• Contribute to the back-end of the group's web projects in collaboration with the development teams
• Take part in designing application-side data models

KEY INFORMATION

• Starting date: as soon as possible
• Permanent contract (Indefinite Spanish contract)
• Full-time position: 40-hours / week

About You

• AWS: Strong knowledge of data services (S3, Lambda, Glue, Athena, Redshift)
• Node.js: REST API development, server-side data manipulation
• Python and/or TypeScript for scripting and data processing
• AI/ML fundamentals: Understanding of core concepts, dataset preparation, LLM API integration
• Advanced SQL: Complex queries, optimization, CTEs, window functions

Nice to Have

• Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, n8n)
• Experience with Metabase
• Experience with vector databases (ChromaDB)
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures (Kafka, SQS/SNS)
