Job summary

Enza Zaden in Spain is seeking an Agronomist to oversee routine crop care and trials, and to execute emasculations and crossings according to crossing schemes. The role also covers harvesting seeds and fruits and supporting breeding activities.

You will regularly guide seasonal workers, help maintain a healthy and safe working environment, and contribute to breeding programs with independent project work and collaboration with breeders.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years relevant work experience in crop breeding or seed production.
• Experience supervising seasonal workers or teams.

Responsibilities

• Care and treatment of crops and trials (daily tasks).
• Execution of emasculations and crossings according to crossing scheme.
• Harvesting of crossings, seeds and fruits of the crops.
• Participation in crop care, seed extraction, cleaning and breeding support activities.
