Michael Page is seeking an Corporate Finance Director for an international consultancy with offices in Madrid. Reporting to the CEO and CFO, you will lead debt financing, project finance, and strategic capital allocation across global operations.

You will develop financing strategies, manage relationships with banks and investors, oversee due diligence, and guide pricing, valuations, and major transactions. Fluent English is required; travel may be international.

Formación

• 8–10 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, investment banking, transaction advisory, project finance, M&A, or similar.
• Experience in a global or multinational company with exposure to multiple geographies and complex transactions.
• Strong track record in debt raising, financing structures, financial modeling, pricing, valuations, and due diligence.
• Experience in infrastructure, utilities, water, concessions, or private equity is highly desirable.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; Spanish/Portuguese are nice-to-have.

Responsabilidades

• Lead corporate financing, debt raising, refinancing, and project financing initiatives across the global operations.
• Develop financing strategies and structures, including debt facilities, acquisition financing, and structured finance solutions.
• Manage relationships with banks, development finance institutions, lenders, investors, and financial advisers.
• Prepare financing proposals, lender presentations, financial information memoranda, and debt-raising materials.
• Analyze and support negotiations on financing terms, pricing, covenants, leverage, maturities, and repayment structures.
• Monitor debt obligations, liquidity, financing requirements, and covenant compliance.
• Lead the development and review of integrated financial models for corporate planning, projects, concessions, investments, and strategic initiatives.
• Develop project economics and pricing models for commercial opportunities.
• Evaluate project profitability, cash flows, financing needs, returns, and risk allocation.
• Conduct scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and stress testing.
• Review and challenge financial assumptions, business plans, forecasts, and investment cases.
• Support commercial teams in developing competitive and profitable pricing strategies.
• Lead the financial workstream of M&A, acquisitions, strategic investments, and corporate development transactions.
• Evaluate potential acquisition targets, partnerships, and investment opportunities across target international markets.
• Coordinate and manage financial due diligence, including quality of earnings, working capital, net debt, cash flow, CAPEX, and financial risks.
• Review financial models, forecasts, business plans, and transaction assumptions.
• Coordinate with Big 4 firms, investment banks, legal advisors, tax advisors, and other external consultants.
• Support transaction negotiations, purchase price analysis, acquisition financing, and post-acquisition value creation.

Valuations & Investment Analysis

• Lead valuation analyses for companies, projects, concessions, acquisitions, and strategic investments.
• Apply DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions, project valuation, and other relevant methodologies.
• Assess enterprise value, equity value, transaction value, IRR, NPV, and investment returns.
• Develop valuation models across different geographies, currencies, and business environments.
• Provide independent financial recommendations to the CEO, CFO, shareholders, and senior management.

Corporate Reporting & Strategic Analysis

• Oversee corporate financial analysis and reporting for the CEO, CFO, shareholders, and senior management.
• Analyze revenue, EBITDA, cash flow, working capital, net debt, CAPEX, and financial performance across global operations.
• Monitor actual performance against budgets, forecasts, and business plans.
• Develop financial and operational KPI analysis and identify key risks, trends, and opportunities.
• Prepare board materials, shareholder reports, strategic reviews, and investor presentations.
• Provide forward-looking financial and economic analysis to support strategic decisions and capital allocation.

Strategic Finance & Business Advisory

• Act as a trusted financial and economic advisor to the CEO, CFO, and executive management.
• Evaluate new market opportunities, concessions, partnerships, and strategic investments.
• Assess the impact of interest rates, inflation, currency movements, regulatory developments, and country risks.
• Support long-term growth planning, capital allocation, and value-creation initiatives.
• Coordinate with country managers, operations, business development, finance, legal, and tax teams.

Perfil ideal

• Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, investment banking, transaction advisory, project finance, M&A, or a similar field.
• Proven experience working in a global or multinational company, with exposure to multiple geographies and complex transactions.
• Strong track record in debt raising, financing structures, financial modeling, pricing, valuations, and financial due diligence.
• Experience in infrastructure, utilities, water, concessions, or private equity is highly desirable.
• Strong commercial judgment, analytical capabilities, negotiation skills, and stakeholder management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
• CPA or equivalent professional qualification is must to have.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
• Spanish, Portuguese are nice-to-have languages.
• Based in Madrid, with international travel as required.
• Ideal Background: Senior professional from investment banking, Big 4 Deals/Transaction Services, infrastructure finance, corporate development, or a multinational corporate finance function, with the ability to lead complex transactions and act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and CFO.
• Salary: €80K-€90K, depending on the candidate's experience and profile.
