BFF Bank S.p.A. in Madrid seeks a Corporate Credit Analyst to join the Credit Evaluation team. You will assess creditworthiness of mid-cap and corporate opportunities, structure facilities, and prepare memoranda for committees, highlighting risks and mitigants.

Applicants should have at least 3 years of credit analysis experience, strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, and excellent English. A rigorous, objective approach to risk and attention to detail are essential.

• At least 3 years of experience in credit analysis and creditworthiness assessment of mid-cap and corporate counterparties.
• Strong analytical thinking, synthesis and presentation skills for internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Excel (data analysis) and PowerPoint (reporting and presentations).
• Good command of English, both written and spoken, including report writing.
• High accuracy, organization, problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain objectivity in credit assessments with evidence-based conclusions.
• Motivation to contribute to credit risk methodologies and processes.

Corporate Credit Analyst

Purpose of the Role

You will join the Credit Evaluation function, reporting directly to the relevant Manager.

You will have the opportunity to develop specialist expertise in the analysis and structuring of credit facilities for Corporate counterparties, gaining in-depth exposure to credit risk assessment dynamics and credit approval processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess the creditworthiness of opportunities originated by the Commercial function through financial statement analysis, cash flow evaluation, review of the Bank of Italy Central Credit Register, and the use of external credit reports and information providers.
• Structure credit solutions consistent with the counterparty’s risk profile and internal policies, including facility type, tenor, guarantees, and control mechanisms.
• Liaise with the Commercial function to define the information set required for a comprehensive and informed credit approval process.
• Support the development of new products and the enhancement of credit risk assessment methodologies.
• Manage non-standard or complex transactions, preparing credit memoranda and presenting them to Committees and decision makers, highlighting opportunities, risk drivers, and mitigating factors.

Apply if You Have

• At least 3 years of experience in credit analysis and creditworthiness assessment of Mid-Cap and Corporate counterparties.
• Strong analytical thinking, synthesis, and presentation skills when interacting with internal stakeholders.
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (data analysis) and PowerPoint (reporting and presentations).
• Good command of English, both written and spoken, including report writing.
• High levels of accuracy, organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
• The ability to maintain objectivity in credit assessments, clearly distinguishing documented evidence from subjective evaluations.
• A strong motivation to actively contribute to the evolution of credit risk assessment methodologies and processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the Factoring industry.
• Knowledge of credit assessment relating to Public Administrations.
• Basic programming knowledge.
