McArthur is seeking an experienced Cook for our Early Childhood Kitchens in the VIC region. The role offers part-time hours with choice of days and locations, focusing on preparing nutritious meals for children aged 0-5, and working in a well-resourced environment.

Applicants should have a similar childcare kitchen background, relevant certificates, and valid checks. Long and short-term assignments are available to fit your schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role (Early Childhood, Aged Care or Hospital settings)
• Certificate III in Commercial Cooking and/or Diploma in Hospitality/Food Handlers Certificate
• Valid Working with Children Check, Police Check (with 6 months)
• Valid First Aid and Anaphylaxis Certificates (and/or willing to complete)

The role of an Early Childhood cook involves preparing fresh and nutritional meals for children aged 0-5 years.

To be successful in this role, you must have experience in a similar childcare kitchen environment - or in other fields such as Aged Care/Hospital.

Responsibilities include (in accordance with the Victorian Food Safety Act):

• Preparing all meals in a timely manner
• Completing all required documentation
• Ensuring all dietary requirements are met
• Maintaining a safe and clean working environment
