Job summary

FairPlay Engineering seeks a hands-on Controls Engineer to support safe, reliable automation for large energy installations. You will translate process requirements into practical control solutions, develop system descriptions, and coordinate with DCS suppliers through the full project lifecycle.

This Netherlands-based relocation role offers a Premium Relocation Package, visa sponsorship, and dedicated support from a relocation consultant.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Engineering or related technical field.
Minimum 3 years in Controls Engineering within industrial or energy projects.
Fluent English is required; Dutch not mandatory at start.

Responsibilities

Prepare technical specifications and engineering documentation for control systems.
Develop system descriptions for HRSG startup, shutdown, and operational sequences.
Create Functional Control Diagrams and control philosophies reflecting requirements.
Specify field instrumentation per project standards and standards compliance.
Translate process and functional requirements into control system specifications for programming teams.
Support FAT and SAT and assist with client involvement during commissioning.
