Job summary

Aggreko plc in Barcelona is seeking a Controller Specialist to reinforce financial governance across South & Eastern Europe, partnering with the Regional Controller to strengthen internal controls and SOX compliance in a fast-paced, international environment.

The role covers DOA/SoD governance, coordinating external audits under US GAAP, and overseeing statutory filings, taxes, and local regulatory submissions.

Qualifications

• Approximately 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, internal controls, audit or compliance.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance.
• Experience enforcing DOA and SoD controls across international operations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with and support the Regional Controller on internal controls governance and SOX testing.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance controls effectiveness and ensure DOA/SoD compliance.
• Coordinate and manage Group external audits under US GAAP and serve as main auditor contact.
• Oversee statutory filings, including tax submissions and local regulatory filings.
