Aggreko, LLC is seeking a Controller Specialist based in Barcelona to support the Regional Controller in strengthening financial governance, internal controls, and compliance across the South & Eastern Europe. The role focuses on SOX testing, evidence collection, and documentation in a fast-paced international environment.

You are an experienced finance professional with 5+ years in internal controls, audit, or compliance, and a strong grasp of US GAAP and DOA/SoD frameworks.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, internal controls, audit or compliance.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and SOX compliance, internal controls, governance frameworks and audit requirements.
• Experience managing DOA and SoD controls.

Responsabilidades

• Partner with the Regional Controller on internal controls governance and SOX testing.
• Coordinate and manage Group external audits under US GAAP, serving as primary contact for auditor and SSC.
• Oversee statutory filings, including tax submissions and local regulatory filings.
• Drive continuous improvement and governance processes across the region.

You'll support the Regional Controller in strengthening financial governance, internal controls, and compliance across the South & Eastern Europe, helping ensure the integrity of our financial operations in a fast-paced, international environment. What you’ll do as Controller Specialist:

Partner with and support the Regional Controller on internal controls governance and compliance activities across the region, support SOX testing through evidence collection and documentation; Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance controls effectiveness and support a culture of governance excellence, ensuring compliance with Delegation of Authority (DOA) and Segregation of Duties (SoD) frameworks, robust governance and approval processes; Coordinate and manage Group external audits under US GAAP being the first point of contact of the auditor and the shared service center; Oversee statutory filings, including tax submissions and local regulatory filings.

You are:

An experienced finance, accounting, internal controls, audit, or compliance professional with approximately 5+ years of relevant experience. Proven experience working in a US financial environment, with a strong understanding of US GAAP and SOX compliance, internal controls, governance frameworks, and audit requirements. Experienced in managing Delegation of Authority (DOA) and Segregation of Duties (SoD) controls. Detail-oriented, structured, and process-driven, with the confidence to challenge non-compliance where required. Passionate about continuous improvement and collaborating with stakeholders across an international business.
