Job summary

MET Group in Madrid seeks a Control Center Operator to monitor, coordinate and control the electrical grid to ensure reliability, efficiency and regulatory compliance. You will perform real‑time supervision of energy flows and execute operational instructions.

The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, knowledge of power system operation and SCADA, plus strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Execute switching operations and apply operational procedures
• Coordinate with the System Operator (SO) and Market Operator (OMIE) to validate and implement scheduled programs.
• Detect, report, and resolve incidents or deviations in our asset generation and demand clients.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate operational records and prepare incident reports.
• Support integration of renewable energy sources and new technologies into the grid.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, external agents, and regulatory bodies.

The Control Center Operator is responsible for monitoring, coordinating, and controlling the operation of the electrical grid and associated systems to ensure reliability, efficiency, and compliance with operational procedures. This role involves real‑time supervision of energy flows, execution of operational instructions, and communication with market agents and system operators.
