Job summary

Esteling Jamaica Limited is seeking a Senior Accounting Technician to join our finance team in a fully remote role within Spain. You will handle diverse accounting tasks, keep financial records accurate, and support strategic objectives while working from your home office.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of accounting experience, strong knowledge of accounting principles, and proficiency in SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, and advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks and advanced Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Experience with remote work and virtual collaboration tools.
• Fluent in Spanish; strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Experience with Zoom, Slack or Teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Perform reconciliations of bank statements, accounts, and sub-ledgers.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and analyses.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
• Liaise with external auditors and provide necessary support during audits.
• Process payroll entries and manage related accounting aspects.
• Assist with the preparation of tax filings and ensure timely submission.
• Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes and systems for efficiency.
