ALTA Performance Materials in Barcelona, Spain is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team. You will execute month-end closing and handle IFRS compliant entries in SAP, review costs, postings, and the preparation of statutory reports in a multinational setting.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Administration and at least 5 years of accounting experience in an international environment.

• Professional accounting experience, 5+ years in an international environment.

Responsabilidades

• Execute month end closing in SAP in line with IFRS and internal guidelines.
• Investigate major costs, yield variances and post end journals.
• Post revenue recognition accruals and payroll entries.
• Prepare and file Intrastat, VAT and other statutory reports.
• Support the external audit with documentation.

We are currently looking for an Accountant to join our team in Barcelona - Spain. This role is a key part of our growing organization and offers the opportunity to make a real impact within a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Executing month end closing activities in SAP system according to internal closing schedule and in line with IFRS and internal accounting guidelines.
• Undertake system corrections, investigate, and analyse major costs and yield variances.
• Review and Analyse the Plant and Regional SG&A Fixed Costs on a monthly basis.
• Posting of Month end journal entries like accruals journals and several types of re-class journals.
• Posting of revenue recognition related accruals, e.g. shipped not billed, contract related, deferred billing.
• Posting of payroll and any other standard entries.
• Preparing the reports to comply with local country requirements such as financial statistical information.
• Executing Capex and Fixed assets accounting procedures.
• Preparing and filing Intrastat reports and supporting the VAT return filing.
• Supporting the external audit process preparing the documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business Administration
• Professional experience of accounting processes and controls over a minimum of 5 years in an international environment.
