Job summary

PLD Space in Elche, Spain, seeks a Configuration & Documentation Controller for the MIURA 5 launch system within the System Engineering department. You will help build robust processes for configuration data and change control, and manage documents and templates.

The role requires a Technical Bachelor's degree, 5+ years in configuration management, strong English, and experience with ECSS/ISO standards, MS Office, and subcontractor interfaces.

Qualifications

• Requires a Technical Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in configuration management or related field.
• Experience with configuration management standards (ECSS, ISO 9001, ISO10007).
• Advanced Microsoft Office and collaboration tools experience.

Responsibilities

• Establish CM Plans for internal activities and review subcontractor plans.
• Implement CM activities: Identification, Control, Status Accounting, Verification & Audit.
• Lead Change Proposal processes and run CCBs and configuration committees.
• Maintain baselines of all configuration items: hardware, software, licensing, docs.
• Write, review, and implement document policies and templates.
• Ensure document security and access rights; maintain revision controls.
• Ensure compliance with data security and document management laws/regulations.
• Stay updated on best practices in document management.

Mission

Configuration & Documentation Controller for MIURA 5 Launch System, within System Engineering department. This position is created to help PLD Space teams building robust and stable processes and associated tools for configuration data and change control, as well as documentation management.

Responsibilities

• Establishment of Configuration Management (CM) Plans for internalactivities and critical review of those from subcontractors
• Implementation of CM activities (Configuration Identification, Control,Status Accounting and Verification and Audit), including the generation ofprocedures or instructions.
• Management of the Change Proposal processes, taking a leading role onthe Configuration Control Boards (CCB) and associated configuration committees.
• Maintaining the baseline of all Configuration Items (CIs) of hardware,software, licensing and associated documentation used within the company.
• Write, review, implement and execute policies and procedures regardingdocument elaboration, approval, storage, sharing, transmission, anddestruction.
• Elaborate documentation templates for technical and other type of documents.
• Ensures security of system and integrity of master documents byimplementing document and system access rights and revision controls.
• Ensures company complies with applicable laws and regulations regardingdata security and document management.
• Maintains current knowledge of best practices and developments indocument management technologies and techniques through participation inProgram Review meetings.

Required Knowledge

• TechnicalBachelors degree.
• At least 5 years of related experiencerequired.
• Knowledge of industry best practices and standards in configurationmanagement (ECSS, ISO 9001, ISO10007).
• Microsoft Office advanced level.
• Knowledge of collaborative working tools.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams in technical andprogrammatic areas.
• Experience in interfacing with subcontractors.
