Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program or six-month Nurse Aide Program.
• Certified Medical Assistant through the AAMA is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of an RN and/or physician.
• Check patients in and out; schedule clinic appointments and referrals.
• Pre-authorize procedures and check insurance status.
• Answer phones and assist in cost containment and office operations.
• Maintain infection prevention, safety standards, and patient confidentiality.
