TXM Recruit is looking for a Software Commissioning Engineer to work with a multinational automation technology company. This role involves writing and configuring software for automated systems, along with substantial international travel up to 60%. Candidates should have programming knowledge (C++, C# or Java), relational database skills, and the ability to communicate in English, with German being a plus. A relocation package is included.

Location: Graz, Austria /Global – 50% International Travel

Salary: €2.985 - €3.110 gross per month + allowances

In this Commissioning Engineer role, you’ll work for a global business that designs and builds advanced automated systems to help customers manage their logistics and supply chains. The company is well‑established internationally, and you’ll have the chance to work on software systems that connect with cutting‑edge machinery on projects around the world.

Salary & Benefits

• Minimum €2,985 monthly gross salary
• Monthly allowance up to €1,350 for travel expenses
• Additional monthly allowance of up to €1,350 for personal expenses
• Flights and accommodation paid for when working away from Graz

• First 3 months accommodation provided in Graz after relocation

Software Commissioning Engineer Responsibilities

• Write and configure software programs to control automated machinery, tailored to each customer’s requirements
• Travel internationally (50–60% of the time) to customer sites to carry out installation and commissioning
• Lead on‑site testing, integration, and configuration, working alongside various technical specialists
• Train customer staff and provide support ahead of system go‑live
• Act as a key point of contact for customers on‑site, delivering clear communication and good service
• Collaborate with internal teams throughout the project to ensure successful delivery
• Hand over completed projects to the relevant departments once commissioning is complete

Experience & requirements for the role

• Knowledge of object‑orientated programming (C++, C# or Java)
• Relational database knowledge in SQL or Oracle and Linux
• Ability to work in collaboration with internal and external project teams
• Ability to speak English with technical conversations as a minimum, being able to speak German is advantageous
• Eligible to work in Austria/ EU
• Hold a valid driver’s licence
