Job summary

Givaudan is seeking a Packaging Compliance Leader in Spain to orchestrate regulatory monitoring, governance, and global alignment across the Packaging function. You will collaborate with Regulatory, Quality, EHS, Sustainability, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams to drive compliant, sustainable packaging solutions.

You will lead a center of excellence for packaging compliance, ensuring scalable, technically sound decisions and a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Packaging or equivalent.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a global industrial business environment.
• Strong technical knowledge related to packaging.
• Experience with packaging-related regulations (Quality, Sustainability, EHS).
• Knowledge of packaging sustainability, plastic circularity, and sustainable packaging regulations.
• Experience in project and change management.
• Continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Packaging Compliance Hub, ensuring regulatory monitoring, governance, and global alignment.
• Provide technical packaging expertise across design, material selection, supplier qualification, validation, standardization, and packaging performance.
• Address customer packaging-related queries, regulatory questions, and sustainability topics; drive digitalization of processes.
• Assist regional packaging partners in managing packaging introduction and transition processes to ensure continuity and compliance excellence.

You will ensure that Givaudan's packaging solutions are compliant, technically safe, scalable, and aligned with business, regulatory, quality, sustainability, and customer requirements. You will work between multiple teams, including Packaging Engineering, Regulatory, Quality, EHS, Sustainability, Procurement, Supply Chain, Customer Care, and Commercial. You will also collaborate with suppliers to support packaging governance, technical decision‑making, packaging transitions, customer communications, and packaging sustainability projects.

You will report to the Industrial Packaging Strategic Lead.

In This Exciting Role, You Will

Packaging Compliance Hub Leadership

• Lead the Packaging Compliance Hub, ensuring regulatory monitoring, impact assessments, governance, documentation, and global alignment.


• Translate packaging regulations into applicable technical and business measures.


• Centralize and manage the digitalization of the Packaging Passport framework.


• Drive packaging sustainability initiatives, focusing on circularity, sustainable material strategies, and compliance with evolving environmental regulations.

Global Packaging Engineering Support

• Provide technical packaging expertise across design, material selection, supplier qualification, validation, standardization, and packaging performance.


• Support sustainable packaging development by promoting packaging circularity principles, recyclability, material optimization, and sustainability best practices.


• Coordinate updates to the global packaging database.

Customer Query Management

• Address customer packaging‑related queries, technical information, regulatory questions, plastic circularity and packaging sustainability queries.


• Improve customer interaction processes through digitalization.

Change & Supplier Transition Support

• Assist regional packaging partners in managing packaging introduction and transition processes to ensure business continuity and compliance excellence.


• Identify, share, and train teams on best practices, sustainable packaging approaches, and technical packaging guidelines.

Your Professional Profile Includes

• A Bachelor's degree in Industrial Packaging


• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
