DNV Energy Systems is seeking a Cloud Product Owner to drive the delivery of cloud-based analytics solutions for wind energy. You will bridge customers, product teams and developers, turning domain knowledge into scalable capabilities, with a focus on AI/ML-driven features.

You bring 5–8+ years in renewables, strong communication, and experience working with Agile teams to shape the platform.

Formación

  • Degree in Engineering, Meteorology, Mathematics, CS, Energy Systems, or related field.
  • 5-8+ years in renewable energy, wind energy preferred.
  • Strong understanding of wind asset operations and analytics.
  • Experience collaborating with software developers or technical teams.

About The Role

The Cloud Product Owner is responsible for supporting the successful delivery and evolution of cloud-based software solutions.

The role acts as the technical and domain bridge between customers, product teams, and software development teams, translating complex business and analytical requirements into scalable product capabilities.

The ideal candidate combines strong renewable wind energy domain expertise, product ownership experience, and a data/AI-driven mindset, helping shape and deliver advanced analytics solutions that integrate into the platform ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Ownership & Delivery
    • Manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines and budget
    • Translate business, customer, and domain requirements into clear user stories and actionable development requirements
    • Work closely with engineering teams to clarify scope, refine implementation approaches, and unblock delivery
    • Drive sprint readiness, backlog refinement, acceptance criteria definition, and feature validation
    • Ensure delivered solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with the platform architecture.
  • Domain & Solution Leadership
    • Act as the bridge between renewable energy domain and software development
    • Translate renewable asset performance, forecasting workflows, and wind farm development processes into product capabilities
    • Support design of advanced analytics features, including AI/ML-driven use cases and intelligent automation
    • Help define how domain-specific analytical logic is embedded into product workflows.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner closely with the customer Product Manager on priorities, roadmap execution, and feature definition
    • Collaborate with developers, architects, UX, QA, and Delivery Manager to ensure successful planning and execution
    • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to validate requirements and gather feedback
    • Support release planning, feature acceptance, and continuous improvement.

About You

To be successful in this role, you need to have:

  • Degree in Engineering, Meteorology, Mathematics, Computer Science, Energy Systems, or related field,
  • 5-8+ years of experience in the renewable energy sector, preferably with deep expertise in wind energy,
  • Strong understanding of wind asset operations and analytics,
  • Experience collaborating with software developers or technical teams,
  • Ability to translate renewable energy domain knowledge into software requirements,
  • Strong analytical mindset with interest in AI/ML-driven product capabilities,
  • Strong stakeholder communication and requirement management skills,
  • Excellent English communication skills.

The ideal candidate can translate technical requirements into practical solutions and guide design and implementation. They communicate effectively with stakeholders and collaborate across teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to leverage data for decisions are essential. The candidate should demonstrate solid project management capabilities, proficiency in product tools and methodologies, and a customer-focused approach to improving user experience.

Preferably, you bring knowledge of pre-construction wind energy yield assessments and is familiar with SaaS or cloud-based platforms. Experience in product ownership, product management, or software solution delivery is highly valued, particularly when working closely with Agile development teams.

A background in renewable energy software, along with exposure to AI/ML-driven analytics or intelligent automation, is advantageous. Experience operating in cross-functional delivery environments is important, supported by an Agile certification. Additionally, proficiency in Spanish would be considered a strong asset.

Security and compliance with statutory requirements in the countries in which we operate is essential for DNV. Background checks will be conducted on all final candidates as part of the offer process, in accordance with applicable country-specific laws and practices.
