Job summary

Materialise Barcelona seeks a Cloud DevOps Engineer to maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure, and ensure scalable cloud deployments. You will collaborate with developers to improve delivery practices and optimize production environments.

The ideal candidate has a degree in CS or related field, hands-on cloud infra experience (AWS/Azure/GCP), Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and Git, plus strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Proven Cloud Engineer experience with delivering results.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps Pipelines).
• Hands-on experience deploying and operating cloud infra in production.
• IaC experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• One programming language (Python preferred) or ability to learn quickly.
• Docker and Kubernetes experience; Git and version control workflows.
• English at least upper-intermediate (speaking/writing).

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and enhance shared CI/CD pipelines and reusable templates to streamline the build, test, and release processes for Materialise products.
• Collaborate closely with developers to adopt established delivery practices and contribute improvements that benefit multiple products.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment to improve scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of build environments and deployment processes, ensuring high system stability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, testing, and production environments in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ensure system security and compliance with industry standards and best practices to maintain quality and regulatory adherence.
• Continuously maintain and enhance existing Cloud DevOps tools and processes, while researching and integrating emerging technologies to support innovation and growth

Your profile:

• Bachelor’s degree inComputer Science,Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as aСloud Engineeror in a similar role, with a strong track record of delivering results.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools such asAzure DevOpsPipelines.
• Knowledge of cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP), with practical experience deploying and operating cloud infrastructure in production.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform or CloudFormation).
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (preferablyPython) or the ability to quickly learn it.
• Knowledge of containerization with Docker and container orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Strong proficiency withGitand a deep understanding of version control workflows.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Atleast anupper-intermediate level ofspeaking and written English.

Will be a plus:

• Previous experience as aSoftware Engineeror familiarity with software engineering workflows.
• Willingness and availability to participate in an on-call rotation to support production systems.
• Hands-on experience with configuration management tools.
• Solid knowledge ofLinuxor other Unix-based systems as an advanced user, including shell scripting and system operations.
• Experience using AI-assisted tools for scripting, troubleshooting, and documentation, with critical review of generated output.
