EY GDS Spain in Malaga seeks an experienced Cloud DevOps Engineer at Manager level to lead design, implementation, and operation of secure, scalable cloud platforms for complex cloud transformations. You will mentor teams, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive DevOps best practices across multiple environments.

The opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Cloud DevOps Engineer at Manager level to join our EY GDS Consulting Services team in Malaga. You will lead the design, implementation, and operation of secure, scalable, and highly automated cloud platforms, supporting clients through complex cloud and digital transformation initiatives.

As a member of our team in the EY GDS Spain office in Malaga, you will work with international teams and major clients, combining hands-on technical expertise with technical leadership, stakeholder management, and operational ownership.

Your key responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Microsoft Azure cloud platforms and DevOps solutions.
• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and related automation technologies.
• Lead the implementation and operation of containerized workloads on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Implement GitOps-based deployment and configuration management practices using Argo CD.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles.
• Define reusable platform components, deployment patterns, and self-service capabilities for development teams.
• Establish monitoring, logging, tracing, and observability capabilities using OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Kibana, and related tools.
• Ensure platform reliability, scalability, security, performance, and operational readiness.
• Lead release planning and release management activities across different environments.
• Coordinate incident investigation and resolution, including root cause analysis and the implementation of preventive actions.
• Assess existing platforms and delivery processes, identify improvement opportunities, and define technical roadmaps.
• Collaborate with development teams, architects, security specialists, operations teams, and client stakeholders.
• Provide technical direction, mentor team members, and promote engineering and DevOps best practices.
• Support project planning, risk management, status reporting, and communication with technical and business stakeholders.
• Contribute to client proposals, technical estimations, solution presentations, and the development of EY cloud and DevOps capabilities.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• More than eight years of relevant experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure Kubernetes Service.
• Practical experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, Argo CD, Terraform, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience implementing monitoring and observability solutions using tools such as OpenTelemetry, Grafana, and Kibana.
• Experience with release management, production operations, incident investigation, and incident resolution.
• Proven experience leading technical initiatives, supporting engineering teams, and managing client or business stakeholders.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.

Ideally, you'll also have

• Experience implementing DevSecOps controls, security scanning, compliance validation, and cloud governance.
• Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or a similar language.
• Knowledge of microservices, container security, networking, APIs, identity management, and cloud authentication patterns.
• Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub, or other relevant cloud and DevOps certifications.
• Experience working in international consulting or enterprise-scale cloud environments.
