Job summary

BBVA in Madrid is seeking a senior client-facing professional to originate and develop institutional relationships across Futures & Options, OTC Clearing and repo clearing, with a track record of revenue growth.

You will lead client coverage, sell clearing and execution solutions, drive pipelines and pricing discussions, and coordinate with risk, legal, operations and technology to deliver new mandates from onboarding to go-live. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of relevant experience in Prime Services, Clearing, Futures & Options, OTC derivatives or institutional markets sales.
• Proven experience generating revenue with European institutional clients.
• Strong understanding of F&O and OTC clearing, CCPs, margin and post-trade processes.
• Knowledge of cleared repo is highly desirable.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Client coverage & origination: Manage Market Services relationships with asset managers, hedge funds, pension funds, banks and other institutional clients, identifying opportunities to grow wallet share and win new mandates.
• Clearing & execution solutions: Sell F&O execution and clearing, OTC derivatives clearing and cleared repo solutions, advising clients on clearing models, margin, collateral and market structure.
• Commercial management: Drive pipeline, pricing discussions, revenue opportunities and client profitability.
• Client solutions & onboarding: Coordinate with execution, risk, legal, operations and technology to structure solutions and deliver new client mandates through to go-live.
• Market expertise: Maintain strong knowledge of CCPs, exchanges, derivatives, repo markets, margin and collateral, and relevant regulatory developments.

Altura Markets is the leading broker for listed futures and options in Spain and Portugal.

About the job: Senior client-facing role responsible for originating and developing institutional client relationships across Futures & Options, OTC Clearing and Repo Clearing.

This role requires the ability to independently own client relationships and commercial opportunities, while contributing to the broader Market Services strategy.

We expect the candidate to have:

• At least 7 years of relevant experience in Prime Services, Clearing, Futures & Options, OTC derivatives or Institutional Markets sales.
• Proven experience generating revenue with a broad range of European institutions in these products.
• Strong understanding of F&O and OTC clearing, CCPs, margin/collateral and post-trade processes; knowledge of cleared repo highly desirable.
• Good understanding of the European regulatory and market structure environment affecting clearing and derivatives.
• Strong commercial, communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across Coverage, Risk, Legal, Operations and Technology.
• Fluency in English is required and knowledge of other languages are an advantage.
