Factiun is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Project Engineering team. You will participate in the design and development of photovoltaic projects, supporting site preparation and earthworks as part of a multidisciplinary team.

You will collaborate with other disciplines to deliver efficient, compliant solutions tailored to each project’s constraints. Fluency in English is required, Italian is a plus, and a minimum of 3 years’ civil engineering experience is expected.

Formación

• A degree or master’s in Civil Engineering.
• Fluency in English; Italian knowledge is a plus.
• 3 years’ experience in civil engineering projects (earthworks, platform design, or linear projects).
• Experience in topographical analysis and site layout (cuts and fills).
• Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, QGIS/ArcGIS and foundation design software.

Responsabilidades

• Analyse and interpret technical project docs including geotechnical studies and site surveys.
• Carry out site surveys for solar plants and determine optimal structure positions.
• Analyse site topography and generate digital models for gradients and access routes.
• Calculate earthworks to ensure feasibility of the photovoltaic plant.
• Prepare plans, diagrams and technical information for design phases.
• Design geotechnical campaigns and tests; ensure compliance with regulations.
• Review and prepare technical documentation across project phases.

At Factiun, we are looking for a Civil Engineer with experience in foundation calculations and earthworks to join our Project Engineering team.
The successful candidate will participate in the design and development of photovoltaic projects, playing a key role in site preparation and earthworks, as part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for the technical definition of solar power plants.
You will work closely with other disciplines to identify and propose efficient solutions tailored to the needs and constraints of each project.

What will your responsibilities be?

• Analyse and interpret technical project documentation; geotechnical studies, topographical surveys, site layouts, hydrological studies, technical specifications, applicable regulations, etc.
• Carry out site surveys for solar power plants, determining the optimal positioning of structures based on topographical and hydrological requirements, etc.
• Analysing the topography of the site and generating digital models to assess gradients, access routes and physical constraints.
• Calculating the earthworks required to ensure the feasibility of the photovoltaic plant.
• Preparing plans, diagrams and any other technical information required during the project’s design and development phase.
• Designing geotechnical characterisation campaigns, pull-out tests, mechanical tests, etc.
• Ensure that all designs comply with relevant regulations and standards.
• Review and prepare technical documentation during the various project phases; calculation reports, installation manuals, plans and bills of materials…

What are we looking for?

• A degree or master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering (Roads, Canals and Ports) or a similar discipline.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Italian would be an advantage.
• 3 years’ experience in civil engineering projects: earthworks, platform design or linear projects, preferably in solar photovoltaic energy.
• We are particularly interested in experience in topographical analysis and site layout projects (cuts and fills)…
• Advanced proficiency in software such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, QGIS, ArcGIS or similar, and foundation design and calculation software: PyPile, LPile, Adonis…
• Communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Knowledge of international regulations and standards.
